What is the CSM exam like?

After completing the Certified ScrumMaster course, you will receive a welcome email containing a link to activate your Scrum Alliance® certification account, where you can complete the CSM test. The CSM exam is an online multiple-choice test. It consists of 50 questions based on the learning objectives of the course. You will get an hour to complete the test. To pass the exam, you must score 74% or correctly answer 37 questions. You are not allowed to pause the test, but you can bookmark to answer the questions later within the 60-minute time limit.

Yes. To maintain the validity of your Scrum Master certification, renewal is required every two years. Go to your Scrum Alliance dashboard, select the 'Renew Certification' option under the 'Actions' heading, and submit a $100 renewal fee. In addition to the renewal fee, candidates must earn 20 Scrum Educational Units (SEUs) within the preceding two years. SEUs are obtained through participation in educational training or relevant learning opportunities.
